USA Gymnastics | Host Navy will look to repeat as USA Gymnastics Men’s Collegiate National Champions this weekend in Annapolis after two-year event hiatus

ANNAPOLIS, Md., March 23, 2022 – After the ongoing coronavirus pandemic cancelled the event in 2020 and 2021, the Usa Gymnastics Men’s Collegiate Nationwide Championships return this weekend in Annapolis, Md. The host Navy Midshipmen are the reigning team champions – a title they will appear to defend Friday at 3:45 p.m. ET at Halsey Discipline Dwelling.

Athletes from 13 packages are slated to contend, but only 4 groups – individuals involved with 4-calendar year Division I, II or III establishments with gymnastics as a varsity sport that give two or less total scholarships and the armed forces academies – are qualified for the crew and all-close to titles: the Higher education of William and Mary, Springfield College, the U.S. Air Pressure Academy and the U.S. Naval Academy. Personal function champions will be determined from the total subject, which features person qualifiers from the Gymnastics Association of College or university Teams, improved acknowledged as GymACT.

The workforce and all-close to competitions will be conducted concurrently Friday. Air Power, Navy, Springfield, and William and Mary will rotate individually, as will two teams of particular person GymACT qualifiers.
