Jackson is a scientific assistant professor of background in the Faculty of Historical, Philosophical, and Religious Studies at Arizona Point out University. She writes and speaks about the intersection of athletics and modern society, discovering how the games we participate in (and view) convey to us about the communities—local, nationwide and global—in which we dwell.  

Jackson provides a historian’s eye to the challenge of creating potential sporting activities systems that are inclusive, equitable, and just. She is currently writing a guide on power and privilege in American faculty sports activities, connecting race and gender justice issues by means of stories of athlete activism.
